So The President Has An Ear Infection

So, the President has an ear infection...Nothing new about that...After all, that's the rumored reason why he didn't come to Lagos. Besides, at 75, what do you expect?

The President ADMITS that he has an ear infection that needs treatment. Now, that's news! It appears that in Nigeria, political leaders and their appointees are not permitted to require treatment. The taunts are unbelievable! He has the constitutional right to fall ill na. My people, please take a chill pill. For as long as he is not of an unsound mind, he is permitted to fall ill and seek treatment.

The President has an ear infection and is going to LONDON to get treated. LONDON? Is that not in the United Kingdom? Is that not the country that collects exorbitant school fees from our students and sends them back home IMMEDIATELY their studies are concluded? Is that not the country that the Prime Minister referred to Nigerians as being fantastically corrupt? Why are we using our "fantastically corrupt" money to fund that economy? Shey e no pain us ni?

Also, who is paying for the "medical leave"? If it's coming from our collective pockets, it's time to talk about equipping Nigerian hospitals to treat ENT issues (I want to believe there are a few specialist hospitals here in Nigeria that can attend to Pa Buhari). After all, we're admonished to #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira. Or are some "animals" more equal than others?

On the issue of the beheading vs beaten to death, it's like saying "I'll rather kill myself than commit suicide". A matriarch has been murdered. She should not be allowed to die in vain. We cannot afford to have "sacred cows". We should not enable a system where a murderer can walk away scot free with "He/She blasphemed the Prophet/Holy Spirit". The President's speech was good, in my opinion. However, it shouldn't end there. We need an update from the police on what has been done to the murderers. Our anthem says the aim is "To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign". Any "peace" without justice is false peace.

My people, please let's continue to pray for our country and contribute our quota to national development. God will help us. Good morning.
